Set in 100 acres of peaceful parkland on the Isle of Whithorn peninsula, Burrowhead Holiday Village overlooks the Solway Firth and the Isle of Man and provides the ideal base from which to explore this part of Scotland. Or you could stay put and enjoy the facilities in this beautiful spot.

At the park you’ll find a heated indoor jacuzzi plus a children’s paddling pool and slide. There’s also a shop, a children’s play area, pitch and putt and amusements. After a day touring, why not enjoy a quiet drink in the bar and a meal in the cafe.

Please note that parking at Burrowhead is alongside all but two of the caravan homes

Accommodation

Accommodation at Burrowhead is in comfortable chalet and caravan homes, all well equipped for your break.

Details of bedding and linen will be supplied with your booking confirmation. High chairs and cots are available to hire at £10 per week each, but please remember to bring your own cot linen and blankets.

Attractions

The coastline in this part of Scotland is dotted with numerous harbour villages and a string of ancient castles. St. Ninian’s cave is worth a visit, as are Creetown Gem and Rock Museum, the woollen mills, and Bladnoch Distillery. The area is excellent for sea and loch fising, and the region also boasts some of the best golf courses in the country.
