The Park is surrounded by countryside and features an attractive and small lake as its centrepiece. Fishing is available but limited - please pre-book to ensure an angling spot! You don't have to be a fisherman to enjoy the lake as it's also an ideal spot to put your feet up, and take in the sights and sounds of the local wildlife.
From the M25, junction 28, take the A12 (signposted Colchester). Continue forward onto the Colchester bypass, (signposted Colchester North, Ipswich, Harwich). At junction 29 branch left (signposted Colchester North) then at the next take the second exit on to the A1232 (signposted Colchester). Continue forward and straight across the first roundabout, at the second roundabout turn left on to the A133 (signposted Clacton). Follow the A133 and cross over the next two roundabouts, then at the third roundabout turn right onto the B1028. Take the left hand fork, the B1027 and follow signs for St Osyth, Brightlingsea. Follow the B1027 through Arlesford and Thorrington and you will reach Oaklands Holiday Park on your left.

All grades will come with a fully fitted kitchen which has pots & pans, cutlery, crockery, a cooker, toaster, microwave and kettle. A small fridge freezer, toilet, shower room facilities with a Flat TV and heating in the lounge. If booking a Silver accommodation your check in time is 3pm, with gold grades you will receive additional heating in the bedrooms, beds made on arrival (if linen is purchased), an early check in of 2pm and a DVD player in the lounge too.
The Colchester Zoo is renowned for its best big cat and primate collection in Europe. Children and Adults alike enjoy a visit to the zoo so why not make a visit to this great zoo.
Marsh Farm is a working farm where children can get close to farm animals and play safely in our adventure play areas. There is also a Country Park, which boasts excellent coastal walks and superb views of the River Crouch.
If you enjoy history then a visit to the Colchester Castle is a must. With over 2,000 years of history and home to some of the most important events in Britain, it is the site of Boudica and invasion of the Normans and was for a short time the capital of England as well as Britain's oldest recorded town.
