When to book your holiday / Re: Tokens for 2019
« on: December 10, 2018, 10:22:05 am »
Hi, the next promotion starts 5th January 2019

I have the alternative Sun holidays helpline for you
tel:08445 439743

I wouldn't advise calling from a mobile though

I haven't been able to find the number yet but this could help

For any problems with payments

Email for online payment queries only:

Hi, the Sun holiday helpline would help but unfortunately they're not open until October 8th
Ask them for a different site, same price if possible or ask for your money back

Holiday from £9.50 helpline on 0344 543 9743 (calls cost the same as a normal local or national landline and may be monitored or recorded for staff training purposes).

I do have another Sun number but I'm in Spain at the moment so I'll dig it out asap

Hi, it's not the end of holidays without dogs but the site and date you want must have sold out of normal Caravans
As the dog payment is paid at the time of booking there's little can be done
The payment won't be given by the Sun till after the holiday has been completed
Reason for a few dog friendly Caravans being offered is to try to limit the number of dog owners booking holidays only to find they can't take the holiday as dog friendly Caravans have sold out

Not a lot you can do tbh except lose your deposit or take the children and risk the fine
The Sun would simply point to the terms and conditions
The holiday site might have helped if it was term time you wanted to change the date to but the school holiday date you missed out on would have been sold straight after so cannot see them helping either

There's a few dog friendly sites but unless you book a dog friendly caravan on booking there's no guarantee one would be available on the date you've booked
What area are you interested in?

Hi, as it's during School term time and there's 21 sites available in Devon as long as you get in early I think you stand a very good chance
I would recommend booking online
You would need to put down 4 dates otherwise the system won't progress but you don't book and pay until you're happy with the date and site offered
Make a list of the sites in order of preference and keep searching changing sites until you get the date and a site you're happy with
If you can't find anything suitable you could apply by post

You might have tried to book on the first day possible but it also depends on what time you tried
When I book it's usually around 1 or 2am

Best tips for booking a bargain break / Re: Pontins adults only
« on: August 15, 2018, 01:03:05 pm »
Hi, There are no pay only dates left for Pakefield
The pay only would be service charge free, as the entertainment passes are free anyway you wouldn't save that much
Any other charges such as half board and linen hire would still need to be paid
The food and linen hire you only pay for how many people are on your booking
The 4 person minimum charge is only the £9.50/£15 pp

Charges are
ervice Charge £13 per unit per night - HALF PRICE on breaks starting Oct 26
Entertainment+ Passes FREE
Peak Date Supplement: £3.50 per person per break Aug 31, Oct 19; £6 per person per break Aug 24, 27, Oct 22

So depending on when you go it's £9.50 or £15 pp ( minimum charge of 4 people)
Plus service charge per holiday per chalet
Also there could be linen hire unless you take your own ( with Pontins you can take hired linen home afterwards if you wish )

My family have been to Pakefield on a chidrens family date
Accommodation is very basic, food was good and entertainment great

Hi, Sun Holidays start at either the Monday or Friday
Long as the dates are either available and part of the promotion

we are having same issue at moment, we booked ty mawr it states when booking peak date supplement included in price then further down it says still to be paid to park service charge 7.50 per night per unit obligatary and club room passes  optional 5.50 per person so why am i receiving e mails stating i owe 61.45 broke down into 4 x peak supplement at 14.00 service charge at 22.50 and entertainment passes 22.00 i have emailed and waiting a response

The peak supplement has already been paid
eak Date Supplements of £3.50 or £6 per person per break (pppb) apply on some dates at some parks. Online bookers will pay any peak date supplements at the time of booking. Postal applicants will be charged directly by your park.

Phone the site directly and have the additional charge taken off

Hi Caroline
Sadly Butlins Minehead aren't doing a Halloween Special this year
They are however, having one at Skegness and Bognor

Hi, you'd need to contact the site direct
Let them know the booking is only for 2 adults so you'd only need 2 entertainment passes
If you're taking your own linen let them know that too and ask them to take the price off the bill
