Family of 8 help and advice needed
« on: April 11, 2015, 11:27:29 am »
Hi we are a family of 8 consisting of 2 adults, 4 teens, 3 yr old and an 8 month old.
Do these holidays do accommodation for such a large family?
Can anyone recommend somewhere for plenty to do?

Three bedroom caravans are available, which would leave two people to sleep in the pull out beds in the lounge.
Or maybe one teenager and the youngster in a hired travel cot.
There's only room for 6 names when booking.
This is what the Sun says about it though
The biggest accommodation at any of the Holiday Parks in the offer sleeps 6 people. For more than 6 people you will need 2 book 2 separate units (Both of which must have at least one adult over the age of 21)
You MUST have an application form for each accommodation required (e.g. 2 application forms for 2 units).
You will also need a set of newspaper tokens for each application form.
Complete one application form for each individual party/family.
YOU MUST SELECT THE SAME PARK AND DATE CHOICES ON ALL FORMS.
Staple all the forms together. Attach a covering letter explaining that you all want to go together.
Attach the payment and send all the forms and payment IN ONE ENVELOPE.

We are a family/friends group of 9 people including 4 children and 5 adults. We would need 3 caravans. When booking online, how do I request 3 units for the same site and same dates?

Hi our friends are a family of 8 and we are a family of 5 we only have enough tokens to book for two families as we didn't know the maximum was 6. Is there anything we can do as we really want to all go together. Two of the children are under one if that makes a difference?

Trying for 2 caravans in the same park online is a gamble as there's no guarantee that once one is booked the other would still be available.
The Sun says the biggest accommodation is 6 but seeing as one could be in a cot that would leave one person in the friends caravan.
The booking form however only has room for 6 people so you would need to contact the site direct after booking to add the baby.

Whilst we do try to accommodate all ‘group’ parties together, due to the high volume of applications, we cannot always guarantee you will be placed together.
Terms and conditions #6 “We cannot guarantee multiple applications will be similarly processed”.

as above, there are caravans that sleep 8, however if you are quick, you can book two on the same site, this will cost exactly the same but you have the freedom of having more space. however you must contact the site directly in order to ensure the two caravans are close or even better, together, (ask for allocations manager) i find the best way to book is to do it with two PCs side by side or tablet / laptop hit the send button at same time. if you get two then hit the buy button and pay. of course this would only be
suitable if your older kids can be trusted in their own van (your decision) i\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ve done this in the past with 3 caravans and it worked great. although in my case it was 3 families, you will be able to use the same codes unless you only got one priority code, but you will either have to have two priority booking forms or both caravans will have to be booked as a non priority (ie first timer) but once you\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ve managed to book both vans next year you will have two priority booking forms (you might be best using two addresses and two credit cards) i hope this helps. regards John
