Recommendations for 2 adults, 1 child aged 12 years
« on: January 21, 2018, 09:16:54 pm »
Hey there, I'm looking for recommendations for myself my partner and my 12 year old son on where we can go. Ideally not somewhere where there are going to be tons of toddlers running about if possible. Would like to find somewhere where there will be stuff that we can do to, to keep my son from becoming bored. Thanks in advance.

Have you ever thought about outside the UK?
Holidays in UK are mostly aimed at families with young children
Let me know which area of UK you’re interested in so I can help you further

In the UK I'd advise Holiday Resort Unity in Somerset or Newlands (Nr Lyme Regis) for Fossil Hunting.
Outside the UK there's plenty that would suit his age.
My personal Favourite,I went last year and am going again this Easter with 3 children aged 7,10 and 11, is Duinrell, Holland.

This site looks great for us too - we have two children aged 11 & 13 and would like to book somewhere in Europe we can drive to. Only difficulty is matching up with school holidays. On the website it looks like you can apply for a four night Sun break at the end of May which would work for us. But on the Duinrell link it says only: PAY ONLY £9.50 Mar 29, Apr 1, May 3, 6, Oct 11, 14. Does that mean you can only do a three night break there??

Those are the dates where service charge is free
Other dates service charge has to be paid
Be aware also that at European Holidays a £100 deposit has to be paid for damage insurance ( that's refundable) or you could pay a £15 damage waiver on booking ( non refundable)
Also the water world costs 5 euros for 2 hours ( you can pay more to stay longer)
The Theme Park however is free
