The pretty town of Pula is famous for it's Roman arena - one of the best preserved and largest in the world. Built for 20,000 spectators it is still used today for summer concerts and festivals. Pula is a major fishing port, so expect some great seafood restaurants too!.
Catch a boat from nearby FaÂana and explore 14 beautiful islands just off the coast. Varying widely on size, you can find pristine beaches and even a golf course. On Veli Brijun island you can mix archaeological sights with a visit to a Safari park.
A must see town, with the pastel coloured houses and winding streets providing a picturesque backdrop to the busy fishing port. The tangle of cobbled streets (full of art galleries, bars and restaurants) lead to the hilltop church of St Euphemia.
Set on the Istrian coast, this historic town is another tourist hotspot - the old town is small, but really charming. Novigrad is also one of the top Istrian gourmet destinations, making a trip here a real culinary experience.
